The current site uses local browser storage to remember your consent choice. Optional analytics must not be activated unless you choose “Allow analytics”.
1. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files a website can ask your browser to store. They can remember a preference, keep a service secure or help measure how pages are used. Local storage is a related browser feature that stores a small value on your device without sending it automatically with every web request. In this policy, “cookies” sometimes refers collectively to cookies and similar storage.
2. How Meralontis uses storage
Strictly necessary preferences
We use local storage to remember whether you selected essential storage only or allowed optional analytics. This preference is necessary to respect your selection and avoid repeatedly showing the banner. It does not identify a game account or contain payment information.
Optional analytics
We may use anonymous or pseudonymous analytics to understand page popularity, broad device categories, approximate region and navigation patterns. Analytics is intended to improve editorial decisions and site performance, not to create advertising profiles. Where consent is required, it will remain disabled until you opt in.
No advertising cookies from Meralontis
We do not currently place targeted-advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We do not sell cookie-derived profiles.
3. Current browser storage
If we introduce a new analytics provider or materially change this list, we will update this page and, where appropriate, ask again for consent.
4. External game sites
Meralontis does not embed the playable games. Clicking “Play” opens an external provider in a new page or tab. That provider may set its own cookies for accounts, matchmaking, advertising, security, saved progress or optional purchases. Meralontis cannot read or control those cookies. Review the provider’s cookie and privacy notices before continuing.
Our pages request web fonts from Google Fonts. Depending on how the service and your browser operate, the font request can disclose routine connection data such as IP address and browser headers to Google. We do not use that request to identify you. A future production build may self-host fonts to reduce third-party requests.
5. Managing your choices
You can choose “Essential only” when the banner appears. To change a stored decision, clear the site data for meralontis.com in your browser and reload the page; the banner will appear again. Most browsers also allow you to block cookies, delete local storage, clear data on exit or use private browsing.
Blocking all storage may cause the banner to reappear because the site cannot remember your choice. It should not prevent you from reading reviews or following official game links.
6. Browser instructions
- Chrome / Edge: open Settings, Privacy and security, then Site settings or Clear browsing data.
- Firefox: open Settings, Privacy & Security, then Cookies and Site Data.
- Safari: open Settings, Privacy, then Manage Website Data.
Menu names can change between browser versions. Consult your browser provider’s current help centre for exact steps.
7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Browser privacy signals are evolving and are not interpreted uniformly by every service. We do not use targeted-advertising cookies on Meralontis. Where technically supported and legally required, we will aim to honour recognised opt-out signals for optional processing.
8. Updates
We may update this policy when storage practices, providers or legal requirements change. The date at the top records the latest version. Material changes affecting consent will be presented through an updated notice where appropriate.
